Lauren MackLauren focuses her practice on counseling media and technology companies, e-commerce platforms, creative professionals, startups, and founders on their corporate, venture capital, intellectual property, and contract needs. She regularly advises her clients on corporate structuring, securities regulation, Internet law, and IP protection and licensing. She also negotiates and drafts corporate governance, equity and debt fundraising, licensing, equity incentive, and services agreements.

Lauren believes that an understanding of the latest developments in both law and technology is essential to advising her clients, and is therefore a very active member of the legal and technology communities. She is a co-founder of and sits on the Board of Directors of Legal Hackers, an organization that works to foster the global movement of lawyers, policymakers, technologists, and academics who explore and develop creative solutions at the intersection of law and technology. Legal Hackers currently boasts chapters on four continents and over 4,500 participants globally. She maintains a hands-on role in the New York Legal Hackers chapter by organizing panels, workshops, hackathons, and other events. Lauren is also a member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association and serves on its Membership Committee.
